GCA expresses condolences on the death of Alfred Mohammed

THE Executives and members of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) yesterday offered their heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Alfred Mohammed, who died on Friday after a brief illness.
Mohammed was involved with the game of cricket in the Georgetown area for more than three decades.
Initially, he played for the Bookers Sports Club which was later renamed Guystac Trade 2 Sports Club.
When his playing days were over he distinguished himself by becoming a Cricket Administrator, culminating in his being elected Chairman of the Competitions Committee of the Georgetown Cricket Association.
Alfred Mohammed was a tireless worker, always trying to ensure that cricket competitions are started, played and completed as soon as it was convenient to those involved.
Cricket Administration in Guyana will be poorer through the loss of Alfred Mohammed.
