MCY&S, GCB and CLT20 Guyana Squad reach agreement

THE Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) and CLT20 Guyana Squad today concluded discussions and reached consensus on various aspects of the Guyana team participating in the Champion’s League Tournament to be held in South Africa. Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Hon. Irfaan Ali, the President of the Guyana Cricket Board Chetram Singh and Ramnaresh Sarwan, captain of the CLT20 squad are all confident that the team would bring glory to Guyana and in the spirit of unity as demonstrated in the agreement among parties, Guyana would be successful.
All efforts are directed towards ensuring the team is prepared physically, mentally and psychologically. Minister Ali urged the players and executive to remain focused on the task that lies ahead, be committed to the task and exercise the necessary discipline that would ensure that Guyana is victorious.
He emphasised that the tournament is beyond cricket, it is a showcase of Guyana on the Global stage, and it is representing the country at the highest level.
For this reason, all of Guyana must rally behind the team and ensure that the energy of our support is felt by the team and this would certainly inspire them to perform at the highest level with pride and conviction.
