MAGISTRATE Hazel Octave-Hamilton yesterday remanded Sherryann Williams to prison when she appeared in court charged with felonious wounding. Williams, 25, of 860 Ninth Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was not required to plead to the charge which said, on August 2, she unlawfully and maliciously wounded Marva Daniels with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or cause her grievous bodily harm.
Williams told the court she was on her way home around 3:00 h that day when she was attacked by Daniels and that she simply defended herself.
Police said Daniels is still hospitalized and that her condition is serious.
Williams will return to court on September 1.
Another defendant, Roger Braithwaite, appeared in the same court charged with the same offence and was also remanded to prison.
