Lang time, a microwave was a lil handshake
Bluetoothers can’t believe that all dem thing pun display at de building expo available right here all over de country. De big heavy duty expensive trucks and cranes and de amenities leff plenty in awe. Dem can’t believe is Guyana. Especially dem who come from foreign. When dem leff it ain’t had roads much less big heavy trucks. It ain’t had current much less all dem fancy light pun show.

In dem days people use to tek cardboard fuh put a sign pun de lantern post. Now printing is pun fancy vinyl from fancy printers. De “skyline walkway” at de expo not only show how printing technology advance here, but de plenty numerous big business buildings and houses that get build over the last fifteen years. Is plenty construction happen! Suh it had to tek a big expo fuh “celebrate” dem plenty achievements.

Lang time when Uncle Forbes and Uncle Desi was leading, people use to dream of road without potholes and roads with vehicles. Dem dream of getting a house and furnishing it with modern things. Dem dream of sleeping pun a real good mattress and not cardboard and a piece o’ sponge. Dem dream fuh buy ice-apple and grapes. Dem use to think microwave was a small hand-shake; VCR was Vicks Cough Remedy; DVD was Dhollpuri Vendor Dead and that TV was Tired o’ Vegetables!

Now, people don’t need to dream. Potholes disappear like de real VCR. DVD tek over like how vehicle tek over roads and house tek over cane fields. Ice-apple and grapes now throwing away like food box. Chicken, beef, telephone, modern appliance and potable water is no longer luxury. Food suh plentiful that it exporting. De building expo just show that lang time dream is today reality.

A few still dreaming. Uncles Glenn, Freddie, Adam, Mark and Lincoln. Dem dreaming of taking de place back to Uncle Forbes days. What dem ain’t know is that some dream does remain a dream. Don’t wake dem up. Hmmm!
