A BERBICIAN cane harvester was discovered hanging from the roof of his home yesterday morning.
His reputed wife, Ruth Lewis, made the discovery after Mark Hope, 38, of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice, had died.
He is believed to have taken his own life following a domestic dispute.
Lewis has three children from a previous relationship but did not have any for Hope, with whom she lived for five months.
Prior to the suspected suicide, Hope had gone to a nearby shop, purchased alcohol and consumed it.
Reports said he had previously threatened to commit suicide.
