Lindeners know which side their bread buttered

I CANNOT recall to memory successive cabinet outreaches being held in a region, within a short time of each other; but the fact that this has been so in the case of Linden last Friday, underlines the Jagdeo Administration’s recognition that Lindeners are very serious and sincere about the onward march of  their town’s economic and social development, and his government’s commitment in making such a goal a reality.

Again, this outreach outlines that every region is part of the development process, contrary to what the well-known opposition forces would have many believe.

As the last outreach, the reception given on this occasion to the President and his Cabinet was overwhelming and enthusiastic. Lindeners, no doubt were happy to welcome again the Jagdeo Team, and to listen to his development programme for their town.

Definitely, this town’s residents know what they want for their wellbeing, and who they trust to take them to their former glory days.

Moreover, they are signalling that they are not listening to the region’s traditional PNC leaders empty talk. This is a new Linden that is thinking objectively, and slowly regaining their feet, with the genuine assistance of this government, that has, by the many transformation projects undertaken in this town, signalled that they are an equal part of the larger national development plan.

This fact has to be causing ‘brother Corby’ and his party’s executive — Do they still exist? — great anxiety, even sleepless nights.

But why should they? After all, what did they really do for Linden during their long, illegal reign? Lindeners know the answer to this question, hence the new pathway now that they have chosen.
