IN response to an article of May 31, 2010, of the Kaieteur News, page 13, I wish to state the following. During that period of intense rainfall all the pumps and sluices on the East Coast were working. To blame the operator of the Greenfield koker is unacceptable, both the koker and the pump installed by the NDIA are working and doing well up to this day.
Despite government’s keen attention in this key sector of drainage, we are witnessing negative and scandalous remarks from some of our own media operates. Why do you blame the government for damage and flooding created by persons who don’t care where they dump their garbage?
Mr. Editor, I am appalled when I look at some of these media lord dumping their garbage on people who hardly find time to mix with their families at home.
In fact, the Honourable Minster of Agriculture and the CEO, NDIA, be it El Nino or rain can be seen most of the day and night all over the country all the time.
I had the privilege to ask Mr. Lionel Wordsworth one night if his bed is infested with bugs.
Mr. Editor, I am most sincerely commending both Minister Robert Persaud and Mr. Wordsworth and his entire team of hard and dedicated workers for doing the best they can.
Keep the good works going!
