Alvis in his acceptance remarks thanked the outgoing committee and indicated that the new executive plans to push the Club’s membership drive.
According to Alvis there should be greater commercial use of the Clubhouse to improve the Club’s revenue and the new committee will be focusing in that direction.
Sankies in his report highlighted the establishment of a new driving range, improvement drainage around the Course and regular tournaments for the past year.
He however stressed the need for improved membership and urged the new committee to increase the membership base.
According to Sankies several golf enthusiasts in Berbice and Linden have shown an interest in establishing courses in those areas and are working closely with members of the LTC.
He thanked both companies and individuals who continue to sponsor tournaments and support the work of the Club.
