A POST mortem examination, performed, by Dr. V. Brijmohan, on the body of Evelyn Daniels, 63, of Matthew’s Ridge, North West District, last June 4, established that the cause of her death was haemorrhage and shock due to lacerations.
The woman, who was a resident of the Amerindian Hostel, on Princes Street, Georgetown, died there on May 31.

The Police, in a previous release, said the woman was discovered dead about 12:30h, at the hostel, where another resident saw her cutting her throat with a knife and raised an alarm.
Daniels was taken to Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
