… Ramdass, Van Tull included
WITH president of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Chetram Singh announcing the commencement of his organisation’s Twenty20 competition, which is being sponsored by telecommunications giant Digicel, the East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB) has shortlisted a 21-man squad to commence training for success in the tournament.
Amongst those called to trials by the selectors for the tournament which commences on Friday, are former West Indies opener Ryan Ramdass and Berbice-born Demerara left-arm orthodox spinner Damian Van Tull.
Former national opener Krishna Arjune, Troy Gonsalves, Zaheer Mohammed, Demerara wicketkeeper/batsman Joseph Perry and the vast improving Marvin Cato and Rawle Fredericks all find themselves on the list of players called to trials by the ECCB.
According to secretary of the ECCB, Raymond Barton, the selected players are asked to indicate their availability to him via telephone numbers 626-0223 and 220-1636.
The players are: Ryan Ramdass, Christopher Patadin, Wasim Haslim, Sultan Safdar, Surespaul Deosarran, Zaheer Mohammed, Sumnauth Bharrat, Suresh Budhu, Damian Van Tull, Videsh Lall, Darron Peters, Marvin Cato, Ravi Singh, Travis Gilbert, Krishna Arjune, Vishnu Ramjeet, Troy Gonsalves, Joseph Perry, Rawle Fredericks, Richard Chitura and Adrian Persaud.
