ACTING Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday ordered a probation report in a case where a father is accused of assaulting his daughter.
Before the Court was Ragland Pollard, 46, of Lot 707 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, who pleaded not guilty to having unlawfully assaulted Fenicka Lewis on June 6.
He claimed the virtual complainant went to his home to spend the weekend and intervened in an argument he had with a younger daughter.
The defendant said he admonished the older daughter not to make noise in his house and she abused him.
Lewis alleged that her father became abusive and pushed her against a door, telling her he brought her into this world and “can done my dance” (end her life).
She said she became afraid after the push and made a report to the Police.
After a lengthy discussion at the Bench, Pollard was put on $20,000 bail until July 8.
