Motorists appealing for bridge repairs

MOTORISTS are appealing to the Ministry of Public Works to repair the timber bridge at Hampton Court that links the public road on the Essequibo Coast. They claim that the Regional Administration in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) repaired the structure several times but it needs replacing because the spikes on it are destroying the wheels of motor vehicles.
The tenders for the reconstruction of the Hampton Court and La Resource bridges were recently advertised in newspapers.
