These Old Word decorative lanterns along a stretch of Hadfield Street in the city call to mind the ‘Old Lamplighter Of Long, Long Ago’, who went around lighting the gas lamps at twilight time.
The pretty lanterns, courtesy of the Hadfield Foundation, have been set up on Hadfield Avenue in the vicinity of Smyth’s Congregational Church and School.
