The release said Mr. Abdool Mohammed, part of a family of six and Mr. Raheen Mohammed, in a family of four of 54 Middle Street, Stewartville, West Coast Demerara, were also provided with building materials for the reconstruction of their homes.
This is the second time the Mohammed’s received aid from the GRC for the same fire as in last March when the fire occurred, GRC supported them with general relief packages, the release said.
It added that Ms Rena Harold of Diamond Seadam, East Coast Demerara; Ms Emmet George, from a family of six, of 711 Kaneville, East Bank Demerara; and Ms Hau-Pein Liu, from a family of six of Ideal Road, Soesdyke Highway, received support in the form of mattresses, food stuff, clothing, kitchen utensils and hygiene items.
