Provisions vendor faces three charges after argument

JUNIOR Flue, 30, of Lot 172 First Street, Mocha, East Bank Demerara, faced three charges before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday.
He pleaded not guilty to unlawful assault, disorderly behaviour and threatening behaviour.

The allegations against him are that, on May15, he unlawfully assaulted and used threatening language to Gilbert Wilson and, on May 20, at Brickdam Police Station, a public place, behaved in a disorderly manner.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said the defendant accused Wilson on driving over the ground provisions he was selling and, during an argument that ensued, lashed him with a stick.
Flue was put on $80,000 bail and the case was postponed to July 7.
