The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 20:00hours Saturday night at Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara, during which Krishnadat Ramroop, 30, and his family were attacked and robbed by three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

Investigations revealed that Ramroop, along with his wife and son, were at home when the men entered through an open door and held them up. The men then tied up the victims with duct tape after which they took away $400,000, a quantity of jewellery and a cell phone, and escaped
