TWO former lovers, John Colette and Petal Small, ended up in Court yesterday. He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson on charges of unlawful assault and larceny from the person.
It is alleged that, on May 3, Colette (no address given) unlawfully assaulted his ex-girlfriend and stole her $9,300 cell phone and a handbag containing underwear, amongst booty valued a total $18, 550.
The defendant pleaded not guilty and told the Court he and the virtual complainant were involved in an argument and she left the handbag with him.
But Small complained that Colette is always harassing her and she wants that to stop.
The defendant was allowed self-bail on the assault charge and ordered to post $15,000 surety on the other, until May 10.
