– two youths from Goed Fortuin in Police custody
A post mortem performed on the body of Inshan Dil Mohamed yesterday by Dr. Nehaul Singh gave the cause of death as asphyxiation due to drowning and blunt cranial trauma.
The body of Inshan Dil Mohamed was found in a canal in the backdam at Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara, on April 30 last.
Investigations are in progress, Police said.
Two youths from Goed Fortuin were taken into police custody following the discovery of the body.
Reports are that the battered remains of 57-year-old Inshan Mohamed, called ‘Indian’, was pulled from the  canal at around 6:45 hrs on April 30, 2010. He was last seen alive two days before.
