GDF contributes to Hugh Ross Classic bodybuilding c/ships

THE Guyana Defence Force on Wednesday made a substantial donation towards the hosting of the 2010 Hugh Ross Classic Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships set for the National Cultural Centre this Sunday. Guyana’s renowned bodybuilder Hugh Ross received the donation when he paid a visit to Base Camp Ayanganna Gym to speak to the Force’s bodybuilding team who will participate in the event. He provided them with tips and essentials for improved performances.
GDF’s welterweight champion Sergeant Michael Simon is set and ready to make his appearance in the light-heavyweight category while Corporals Patrick Bristol and Devon Davis are muscling-up for competitors in the lightweight category. Lance Corporals Kevon Waddle and Victor Logan will vie for the middleweight champion title.
Privates Devon Boatswain and Daison Campbell are also powering up for competition in the light heavyweight and heavyweight categories respectively.
Privates Kascia Beaton,  Dacia  Junor  and Alisha Fortune are in the line-up for the Miss Body Beautiful title.
Ross commended the GDF athletes for their physical efforts and extended best wishes in the upcoming competition.
