POLICE searched a man last Sunday and found an unlicensed pistol in his possession.
As a result, the suspect is in Police custody pending charges, said a report about the 11:35 h, April 25 arrest.
It happened when Police responded to a report of threats made by a man at Ulverston Village, during which another was arrested at Port Mourant, Corentyne, also in Berbice.
A search was conducted on that detained man and it yielded the illegal 9 mm ‘Browning’ pistol, which would result in charges against him, shortly, Police reported.
