In Berbice Courts…
JUSTICE Winston Patterson yesterday granted Terry Cummings, of Springlands, Corentyne, $200,000 bail at the Berbice High Court in New Amsterdam.
The judge also ordered the armed robbery accused to report to the Police Station in his neighbourhood, once per week, until the conclusion of his trial in the Magistrate’s Court, where he was previously refused pre-trial freedom.
Cummings is jointly charged with Mohammed Rahamat Hussein, who secured the grant on $75,000 surety in the lower Court.
Particulars of the offence said the duo, last January 23, at Number 66 backlands, Corentyne, robbed Chunnilall Indar Mootee, at gunpoint, of eight goats valued $140,000, property of Ramchand Samlall.
