THE Canadian Dollar is almost on par with the U.S. dollar. However, the banks exchange U.S. $1.00 for about G$200 and only pay about G$160 for C$1.00. Why is there such a big difference?
Those of us who receive remittances from Canada are being robbed blindly by the banks and other places where foreign currencies are being exchanged.
Can the Finance Ministry or Bank of Guyana look into this disparity?
Why such a big difference between the US and Canadian dollar?
