The annual exhibition and sale of plants and flowers by the Horticultural Society of Guyana will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28, at the Umana Yana, High Street, Kingston.
The show opens runs from 14:00hours to 18:00hours on Saturday, and from 10:00hours to 18:00hours on Sunday.
It will feature over 20 categories of exhibits ranging from cut flowers, fresh and dried arrangements, cacti and succulents, foliage plants, ferns, orchids, novelty arrangements, hanging baskets and much more.
An additional feature will be ground displays of plants in various forms of presentation, a release stated, noting that more than 200 entries have been received from participants.
Late registration will be done at the Umana Yana today, between 09:00hours and 18:00hours, and participants are required to deliver their exhibits during that time.
However, fresh flowers and arrangements should be delivered Saturday morning between 07:00hours and 08:30hours, as the judging is slated to commence at 10:00hours
.According to the release, prizes will be distributed to the winners of the various categories on Sunday before the end of the show.
Plants, plant pots and gardening equipment will also be on sale. Admission is $500 and children under 10 will pay $100.
