THE first time I read Kaieteur News article on Kwame McCoy it was some what funny, but sad to say it is not funny anymore. The fact that Mr. McCoy happens to be a well rounded respected individual in society and plays a vital role in the government, I think he deserves to be treated with much more respect. The gay jokes need to stop, not only is KN discriminating against Mr. McCoy if he is indeed gay, but also KN is discriminating against homosexuals.
KN happens to be one of the most widely circulated newspapers in the country and therefore I suggest that they use that advantage to share positive views and to help implement changes in the places that it needs to be implemented.
Making jokes about Mr. McCoy would not benefit anyone in anyway. Yes there is Freedom of the Press, but as I said why not use it in a positive way. I found the articles to be totally disgusting and I suggest it stops, not only is it casting doubts about the maturity of the newspaper but the editor too.
