Second man charged with Cool Square murder

POLICE have charged another man with the recent Cool Square night spot murder of formerly Canada-based Guyanese Rawle Harding.
The second accused of the West Ruimveldt, Georgetown unlawful killing, Dwayne Critchlow, 27, of Lot 54 Moffat Street, Vigilance, East Coast Demerara, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday.

But the remanded prisoner claimed he was at Bartica on March 3 when Harding was fatally shot.
Critchlow told the Court that, when the Police arrested him, they alleged that he had committed an armed robbery on someone in Orange Walk, Bourda, also in the city, but are now pinning another crime on him.
Critchlow said the Police showed him a tape recording and said the image on it looks like him but he is innocent of the indictable offence.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, informed that the file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice and the case was put off to March 31.
Junior Bourne, of Lot 687 East Ruimveldt, was previously charged with the shooting murder of Harding and is on remand in prison, too.
