AS far as I am aware the law outlawing music on public transport vehicles nor rescinded nor relaxed but the reality on many minibuses suggests that I am wrong because as a daily user of public transport I confronted with the loud and vulgar music frequently. It has become very disgusting and frustrating that very often I have to ask the conductor/driver to lower the volume of the music. I should not have to be doing this because there is a law that is supposed to be protecting me and those who are responsible for enforcing the law must do their job. Ironically, the loud and vulgar music is played in the presence of police but they seem to be uninterested.
The traffic department should consider introducing a regulation in the the traffic ordinance which it makes it compulsory for public transport vehicles to have their registration numbers displayed conveniently and visibly in the interior of them so that passengers could see them easily and record them when they notice a violation of the law by the driver or conductor and then make a report to the police or even whilst travelling through the use of a cell phone.
Sometimes when a passenger disembarks by the time he could record the number the vehicle is out of sight.
Has the law outlawing music on public transport rescinded or relaxed?
