Hiralal hits ton for ECC in

GCB 3 Day first division competition
WITH the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) and Police Sports Club (PSC) all recording victories in the Demerara zone of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)-sponsored nationwide first division three-day competition, visitors Everest Cricket Club (ECC) were poised to emulate the abovementioned three, thanks to Surendra Hiralal’s ton.

Playing against the Enterprise Busta Sports Club (EBSC) who won the toss and opted to bat first at Enterprise, ECC dismissed their hosts for 169, with K. Hamid’s 46 being the leading score against the bowling of former Guyana Under-19 fast bowler Leon Scott who took 3-18.
Javed Rasheed (3-21) and Rakesh Goberdhan with 2-35, offered support to Scott for ECC, who replied with 250 before they were bowled out, with Hiralal contributing 108 which included 10 fours and one six and former West Indies opener Ryan Ramdass 33 (3×4).
C. Singh took 5-71 with his right-arm leg-spin for EBSC, who, after being faced with an 81-run first-innings deficit, reached that score for the loss of three wickets, with Hamid being among the runs once again, this time making 52 while Scott has so far taken 2-20.
The match will culminate on Sunday.
