Barbados retain two players for CLICO U15 tourney

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) – The Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) has named a 14-man squad with two survivors from last year’s set-up for the 2010 CLICO West Indies Under-15 cricket tournament starting late March in Trinidad and Tobago.
Batsmen Jonathan Drakes and Jameel Stuart are the only players returning from last year’s side, which placed fourth.

Stuart had been a key performer in their upset win over eventual champions Jamaica last year, stroking an unbeaten 56 in the Barbadians’ 55-run victory in the fourth-round match at the UWI St Augustine Ground.
Former champions Barbados will face Jamaica, hosts T&T, Guyana, the Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands in the March 27 to April 5 tournament.
The result was the only loss in the tournament for Jamaica en route to their fifth U15 title success.
SQUAD – Jameel Stuart, Jonathan Drakes, Tevyn Walcott, Jafari Toppin, Dario Boyce, Shomario Taylor, Neil Persaud, Daniel Jordan, Shane Proverbs, Jerome Jones, Aaron Jones, Demar Thorne, Chad Williams, Craig Holder.
Reserves: Devon Goodman, Romario Greaves, Carlos Maynard, Romar Miller.
