THE youngest among Guyanese youths were not to be left out of the Mashramani celebrations and took to the streets of Georgetown with their parade yesterday.
The little bodies moved to the loud music and had a wonderful time. Decked in colourful costumes children and teachers walked from the Promenade Gardens, making a roundabout, covering Main, Church and Carmichael streets and ending up back at the Gardens.
One of the organisers, Ms. Deborah Glen, said five municipal day care centers and four private centers from Georgetown got on board with the parade.
