YOUMUN NABI which is the Birth Anniversary of Prophet Muhammad is to be celebrated this Saturday, the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) has announced.
This day is declared a National Holiday in Guyana and Muslims from across the country will be visiting their masjids to listen to lectures on the life of Prophet Muhammad (On Whom Be Peace) and will partake in a day of togetherness.
The president and executives of the CIOG invite all Masjids to organise Youmun Nabi functions and deliberate on the relevance of Prophet Muhammad’s message, similarities with other Prophets like Prophet Jesus.
CIOG also encourages the participation of all Guyanese in these celebrations and maintaining the sanctity of all religious holidays in our country.
