UAE get off to winning start against Kenya

THE United Arab Emirates (UAE) were the second surprise winner in Abu Dhabi yesterday at the ICC World Twenty20 2010 Qualifier after a 15-run defeat of Kenya.
Arfan Haider (59), Saqib Ali (31) and Khurram Khan (28) helped the hosts establish an impressive 165-5 off 20 overs.
After Steve Tikolo and Alex Obanda fell in space of two overs to leave Kenya on 49-3, the UAE took control of the game with the ball.
Although Maurice Ouma (39) and Collins Obuya (42 not out) added 69 for the fourth wicket, some outstanding spin bowling from Ahmed Raza (2-17) and Shadeep Silva (2-25) helped the UAE secure a fantastic win.
