CHAIRMAN of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh has reported that the Eighth of May Community High School, at Dartmouth on Essequibo Coast, was recently rehabilitated. It was funded by the Government through the Regional Administration and the Ministry of Education, he said.
According to Baksh, the sum of $13M was spent on the rehabilitation and construction of a new wing on the building.
He said the undertaking was in keeping with Government policy to provide every student with all the necessary facilities to enhance learning and the refurbished school is testimony of the commitment to educational development countrywide.
