THE Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) sevens team is scheduled to depart Guyana today to participate in the prestigious International Rugby Board’s  Men’s World Series 7s Championship tournament to be held at Sam Boyd’s Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on  February 13 & 14, 2010.

The Guyana team has been drawn in Group A along with current IRB World Series leader New Zealand, Australia and France.

The team is being led by Manager Robin Roberts, Assistant Manager John Lewis, Technical Director, Joe Whipple and Coach, Laurence Adonis.

The following are the players representing Guyana: Albert La Rose, Claudius Butts (captain), Dominic Lespierre, Dwayne Schroeder, Kevin McKenzie, Peabo Hamilton, Ronald Mayers, Richard Staglon, Rupert Giles, Ryan Gonsalves, Theodore Henry and Walter George.
