Big miners have jumped out of their sleep and suddenly realise that the small miners they had ignored all along are important to them.
I am associated with a small miner and I wonder where the big ones were before now. Small miners are all of a sudden `friends’ of the big boys in their fight with the government.
We have listened to the President, the Prime Minister, the Geology and Mines Commission, the miners association and some of its members, including the one who had enough money to buy almost five pages for his recent diatribe in the Stabroek News, and we are convinced that the government has our best interests at heart.
We will not be fooled by those who want to spread rumours.
