A small item in yesterday’s edition of the Kaieteur News – page five, under the caption ‘An apology to President Jagdeo’, serves to highlight only one in a daily litany of blatant errors being made by that newspaper, requiring an apology – this time to the President of Guyana.
The small item in yesterday’s Kaieteur News read:
“Kaieteur News sincerely apologises to the Honourable President Bharrat Jagdeo for the publication of a letter in Tuesday’s edition, captioned, “A good public relations stunt”. Unfortunately, the unedited version of that letter ended up being published. We express our regrets and once more ‘apology’.”
