Stabroek News bent on being malicious

It is obvious that by repeating the headline titled “Man who threatened President faces charges today” in its Tuesday, January 12, 2010 edition, Stabroek News is bent on being mischievous, malicious and sensational. Such actions they defend with appalling arrogance.

This newspaper report is a purely subjective and falsified version about the incident involving Jairam Mohabir, the man whom they insist directed a threat at the President.

The effort to correct this misrepresentation has been ignored and it represents the continued pattern of non-adherence to basic journalistic standards by the Stabroek News as part of a wider agenda to malign, misrepresent and calculatedly create doubts and confusion in the minds of Guyanese.

As such, the only excuse that could be proffered for this type of journalistic degeneracy is a deliberate editorial policy that has as its agenda careless and reckless reporting.
