ADRIAN Caesar, who was sentenced to three years imprisonment for trafficking a narcotic, in his absence last week, suffered a similar fate after he was again arrested with a quantity of cannabis (marijuana) at his Savannah Park, New Amsterdam, home in Berbice.
He had been previously convicted, in absentia, for possession of 179 grammes of marijuana for the purpose on August 2, 2006.
But, last December 28, he was caught, once more, with nine and a half grammes of the same illegal substance, in company with Eze George, Brian Ceres and Junior Simpson (no addresses given).
Magistrate Krishendat Persaud gave the prisoner an additional three years sentence, to run consecutively with the other and fined him $10,000.
George, Ceres and Simpson were remanded to prison until January 11. (Jeune Bailey Vankeric)
