MAGISTRATE Hazel Octave-Hamilton yesterday sentenced Seon Clarke to two years imprisonment for possession of a utensil used to smoke cocaine.
He pleaded guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on January 4, he had an improvised pen pipe used for the purpose.
The convict, pleading for leniency, said he was gambling when arrested and the Police allowed some other men to escape.
However, the magistrate also fined Clarke $30,000, noting that he was not a first offender.
Shafeek Khan (no address given either) had a one year jail term imposed on him for a similar conviction.
He, too, had an improvised pen pipe on January 4 and was slapped with a $25,000 fine, as well.
