Relatives are mourning the loss of a toddler who was found submerged in a septic tank in his yard on Monday morning.

Dead is Thaddeus Samuels, four, of Lot 156 South Better Hope, East Coast Demerara.

The child was reportedly playing in the yard when he did not respond to a call from a parent at about 8:30 hours.

A search was launched and he was pulled from the septic tank at the back of the yard and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
He was described as a very energetic and curious.
