Eddie Boyer unaware of actions of demolition crew

Immediately restored functionality of businesses
Mr. Eddie Boyer yesterday said that he could not comment on the court matter regarding a disputed property located on Regent Street because the matter is subjudice.

He however expressed his regrets for the action taken against the businesses located on the premises, and said that upon being informed of the fiasco, he immediately gave instructions for the situation to be rectified and the status- quo to be restored, because this is the season of peace and goodwill, and he would not want to bring sorrow to anyone at any time, especially during this season.

Mr. Boyer seemingly delegates executives to assume responsibility `for various spheres of his business operations, and apparently one employee was over – zealous in the execution of his mandate and thus precipitated the unfortunate incident that resulted in the destruction of the property of two businesses located on the disputed premises.

The CEO of National Hardware Limited explained that his busy schedule constrains him from micro-managing his operations and that some managers are allowed to make unilateral decisions to address extant situations.

The unfortunate incident on Wednesday need not have occurred, according to Mr. Boyer, if there had been prior discussions on the matter.

He said when he learned of the incident, immediate steps were taken to repair the damage and assist the persons affected, and that his firm had no intention of dispossessing the occupants, subject to their being complicit with the laws of the country.

The owners of the businesses affected have expressed their relief that they are being helped by Mr. Boyer to repair their business premises and said that they are again able to operate their businesses without hindrance.
