CHAIR of the National Toshoas Council (NTC), Ms. Yvonne Pearson, who is Co-Leader of the Guyana delegation to Copenhagen next week, has praised the climate change initiatives of President Bharrat Jagdeo.

Speaking at a meeting of the Amerindian Hinterland Affairs Committee of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), on Monday, in the Anna Regina Boardroom, she commended the Head of State on the leading role he is playing with the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS).

According to Pearson, those in Guyana who are negative will see the fruits of his interventions soon.

Pearson, who was in a team President Jagdeo led to the United Kingdom (UK), for several meetings on climate change, said she was honoured and privileged to be involved.
