RESIGNED Guyana Teachers Union (GTU) President Colwyn King made a second Court appearance yesterday and was further remanded to prison by Magistrate Fazil Azeez.

Defence Counsel Mark Waldron made another quest for bail on the carnal knowledge charge but Police Prosecutor Vishnu Hunte maintained his objection.

Hunte said Police are still investigating the matter and are fearful that, if King secures pre-trial freedom, he may tamper with the witnesses.

The case was put off to November 13.

King is alleged to have carnally known a 15-year-old girl and first appeared in Court on November 5.
