GUYANA’S Representative at the upcoming Miss World Pageant, Imrah Radix, who is currently in London, England, is reported to have recovered her previously lost luggage.
Reports had said the 24-year-old beauty misplaced her suitcases but consequent calls revealed that Caribbean Airlines quickly resolved the problem.
The delegate’s mother, Ms. Shahiba Radix, told the Guyana Chronicle her daughter is immersed in the busy pre-pageant schedule, including a tour of British markets and a dinner, last evening.
The Guyanese contestant was recently crowned Miss Guyana World at Duke Lodge, in Kingston, Georgetown, in the absence of a local contest, after being selected by British-based franchise holder, Mr. Ken Chung.
Radix is a graduate of Cobham Hall girls school in Kent, who secured passes in 10 subjects at the General Certificate of Education and three passes at the Advance Level, in Russian History, English Literature and Classical Greek Civilisation.
She recently graduated from Oxford Brooks University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy.
A certified scuba diver, trained in Open Water and Advanced Open Water Diving with five specialties, Radix has postponed working on her Masters Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at University College of Kensington, London, to represent this country at the international contest taking place December 12, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
