ACTING Chief Justice Ian Chang last Friday granted Randy Mc Pherson $100,000 bail, pending the hearing and determination of his appeal against conviction for drug trafficking.

The convict was previously found guilty, by Magistrate Fazil Azeez, of being in possession of three grammes cocaine for the purpose, on September 24, 2007.

His penalty was a fine of $150, 000 with the alternative of 18 months imprisonment but McPherson (no address given) secured his conditional pre-trial freedom on an application by attorney-at-law Mr. Lyndon Amsterdam.
