THE debate about the treatment of ex-Superintendent of Police Mc Bean and the end result of his dismissal is regrettable.  However the record will show that he was not granted study leave and he did not confirm to the standard rules and regulations within the Guyana Police Force and the public service in Guyana. Mr. Mc Bean proffered inaccurate information and declined to be forthright in responding to the authorities in Guyana.

His loss to the GPF is noted, but his conduct during this episode questions his moral and ethical suitability for holding or even aspiring for higher service in the Guyana Police Force.
