To expand area under cultivation to 16,000 acres
The Ministry of Agriculture yesterday inked a $390.5 M contract for the rehabilitation of control structures and access roads in the Canals Polder, Region Three, (West Demerara/Essequibo Islands).

Works on the 20 month project under the Agriculture Export Diversification Programme (AEDP) are financed by the Government and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
