THE Guyana Post Office is advising the general public that it is in receipt of a number of items from the United States that have been broached.

The GPO, in a statement yesterday, stated that this has been the case on a number of occasions, although the mailed items are received in sealed mail bags.

The Corporation assured that information relating to this recent development has been communicated to the United States Postal Administration for them to conduct investigations there.

The Corporation remains committed to preserving the integrity of the mail and is therefore doing everything possible to carry out this mandate, the statement said.

The GPO is further advising the public to advise their relatives and friends of this development when posting mail to Guyana.
