Tucville teenager charged with Adam Harris burglary

A TEENAGER from the neighbourhood has been charged with the July 11 burglary at the home of journalist Adam Harris.

Travis John, 18, of Lot 641 Tucville, Georgetown, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday and pleaded not guilty.

Particulars of the offence said the defendant broke and entered the house from where he stole a camera, a DVD player, a motor car stereo music set, a cellular phone, a laptop computer and alcoholic beverages, all valued $658,000.

Police Corporal Munilall Seetaram, prosecuting, said all the booty, except the cell phone and a bottle of liquor, was recovered.

The Prosecutor said John took Police to the place where he had stashed the stolen things and the latter was remanded to prison until July 30.
