GDF hammer Independence Boulevard 12-1

THE Guyana Defence Force football team hammered Independence Boulevard 12-1 when play in the Guinness/Georgetown Football Association/Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport/National Sports Commission Inter-Club/Block Futsal tournament continued on Monday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Scoring for GDF were Marlon Benjamin and Warren Gilkes who both netted hat-tricks.
Benjamin scored in the 10th, 16th and 17th minutes while Gilkes recorded his treble in the 4th, 5th and 22nd minutes.
Stellan David supported with a double in the 2nd and 20th minutes while one goal each was scored by Dorian Agard (19th), Kevin Lewis (3rd), Jerome Richardson (7th) and Sean Brewley (18th).
Delon John scored Independence Boulevard’s lone goal in the 14th minute.
In other results, Fruta Conquerors beat Northern Rangers by a 2-0 margin through goals from Gerald Gittens (15th) and Odel Williams (3rd).
GFC beat Ann’s Grove Punters 4-1 through a double from Gregory Danny in the 5th and 15th minutes and one goal each from Delroy Henry (20th) and Peter Parks (20th).
Scoring for Ann’s Grove Punters was Maxton Adams in the 17th minute.
BK International Western Tigers defeated Black Pearl by a 5-1 margin.
Kevin Gordon and Devon Millington both scored doubles while Paul Kiles netted the other goal.
Gordon netted in the 18th and 24th minutes while Millington was on target in the 15th and 15th minutes. Kiles netted a 6th minute goal.
For Black Pearl, Andre Lyken scored in the 8th minute.
Santos edged Beacons 2-1 through a Quacy Price 4th and 18th minute double while Leon Fredericks pulled one back for Beacons.
Sunburst Camptown and Victoria played to a 2-2 draw.
Telson McKinnon and Kester Alleyne netted for Camptown in the 14th and 15th minutes respectively, while Orin Elias and Rolston Morrison scored for Victoria in the 5th and 7th minutes respectively.
Flamingo defeated Alpha United 6-1 through goals from Leon Yaw (11th), Dwayne Layne (13th and 16th), T.Parris (20th), Quincy Bourne (24th) and Cordel Dowding 23rd).
Andrew Murray scored Alpha’s lone goal in the 21st minute.
Pele defeated BV Sideline 3-1.
For Pele, Troy Kellman scored in the 2nd minute, Solomon Austin in the 6th minute and Calvin Shepherd in the 21st minute.
