ONE cannot understand the mindless actions of a few guilty of vandalising Public Utilities and Property.  Blocking irrigation and sabotaging power/phone lines etc are unacceptable. It is not the government or utilities that suffer. It is all of us that pay the price in the long run. You cannot complain about progress and neglect while making things worse. Besides inconvenience, possible loss of lives may be involved. Money spent on repairs leave less for improvements of all kinds. Strong laws needed to impose harsh sentences and fines on the guilty parties. The media must educate Guyanese on the cost to them because of such actions.
